You can set up your Paypal account to use a credit/debit card (or a bank account) as a backup method of payment. You can keep your Paypal balance at zero, and it will then automatically take the payment out of the designated backup method.
Using Paypal is secure. It means that they (who employ online security professionals) don't share your information with me or anyone else.
